MOTHERHOOD IS A GIFT

Don't get to pee alone?

But the gift of motherhood doesn't typically come with spare time. We have a skincare all-rounder that might help the whole family.

TRY THE EVERYWHERE BALM

Anhydrous. Petroleum-free. Mucosal-safe.

01 — NO ROOM FOR RITUAL

The seven-step ritual was never going to happen.

Somewhere between the school lunches, the daycare bug doing the rounds, the missing left shoe, the 2am wake-up and the twenty-seventh snack of the day, your skincare routine quietly left the chat.

Don't fret.

NOOKS was built for people whose lives have no room for a ritual.

TRY THE EVERYWHERE BALM

One tin. Hundreds of uses. No spreadsheet required.

02 — THE INVISIBLE JOB

Motherhood is a contact sport. Your skin keeps the score.

Sticky hands. Bath time. Sun. Wind. The hand washing that never quite ends. The sleepless nights. A small person using your shirt as a napkin.

The beauty industry would like to prescribe you fourteen products. Motherhood barely lets you finish a coffee while it's hot.

03 — THE SKINCARE FANTASY

Most skincare assumes you have spare time lying around.

Morning routine. Evening routine. The weekly mask. The monthly treatment. The special serum. The separate eye cream. A rotating cast of expensive side characters.

Meanwhile you're applying moisturiser one-handed, negotiating with a toddler who is holding a banana like a weapon.

04 — BUILT FOR REAL LIFE

One tin. Everywhere it's needed.

Face. Lips. Neck.

Overwashed or overworked hands.

Dry patches.

Cuticles.

Post-shave. Post-chafe.

The overnight shift.

Windburn.

The lipid step after retinoids.

The strange dry spot that turned up overnight.

Anywhere that needs a softening.

05 — THE TWO MINUTE WINDOW

Ninety seconds you can find.

Apply. Absorb. Move on. NOOKS leaves a soft, comfortable finish behind it, with no greasy handprints, no slippery phone screen, no standing around waiting for it to dry. Skincare you have no time to use is skincare that does nothing.

06 — THE MUM TAX

Everything costs more once there are kids. Your time costs the most.

The average routine keeps asking. Another product. Another step. Another small decision in a day already full of them. NOOKS was built on a quieter idea: one tin doing the work of the lot of them, because your hands are full and your patience is finite.

07 — THE BAG TEST

A product that lives permanently in your handbag has earned its place.

Most people buy NOOKS for one thing. Then it quietly becomes the thing they reach for everywhere else. The lip balm. The hand balm. The emergency dry-skin balm. The overnight one. The one a partner borrows and mysteriously never returns.

08 — YOU NEED TLC TOO

You look after everyone else's skin all day. Yours has been waiting quietly at the back of the queue.

Motherhood asks a great deal. NOOKS asks for ninety seconds. Barrier support for people who already have enough jobs.

09 — SHE ALSO UNDERSTANDS MULTI-TASKING

Yes, you can use it on the kids.

And his shaving rash.

Throw out the petroleum jelly. It's just sitting there. Sticky, idle, contributing nothing.

NOOKS is fragrance-free, water-free and mucosal-safe, which makes it the tin the whole household ends up sharing.

little ones

Under five and using it often, ask your paediatrician about bakuchiol first. For the occasional rescue, the dry patch a dummy leaves behind, it's typically fine.

chafing

Good on chafing.

Not built for it. If a nappy rash looks angry or won't settle, that's a pharmacist conversation, not a balm one.

cosmetic balm, not a medicine. for anything that looks like more than dryness, see your gp or pharmacist.

10 - COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions, answered

Yes, from age two and up. It is anhydrous and mucosal-safe, which is the technical way of saying it is gentle enough for the places most products avoid. Good on chafing, dry knuckles, dribble rash, post-bath dryness and the general wear and tear of small humans.

The balm contains bakuchiol. For the occasional rash or chafe it is typically fine, but check with your paediatrician before using it regularly on very young skin. For under twos, talk to your paediatrician first.

Speak to your GP first. The balm contains bakuchiol, and its safety has not been confirmed for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so we would rather you check than guess. That goes for use on nursing nipples too.

It depends on the rash. For friction and irritation, it supports the barrier and reduces water loss while skin settles. If the rash is candida or fungal, this is not the product. Fungal rashes need an antifungal from your pharmacist. We would rather tell you than sell you.

It is built for skin under pressure. No fragrance, no essential-oil load, no acids in the everywhere balm. Suitable for eczema-prone and post-shave skin. If your skin is currently broken or acutely flaring, patch test first like you would with anything.

Yes. Anhydrous and mucosal-safe means it goes where water-based creams cannot, including lips and the thin, reactive places. One tin tends to migrate from the nappy bag to your face to his shaving rash within a week.

Petroleum jelly seals the surface and sits there. It is inert, so it cannot put a single lipid back. Most creams are mostly water, which evaporates and takes the working part with it, and needs a preservative to survive the bottle. NOOKS is water-free skin-identical lipids that absorb into the barrier and replace what stripping takes out.

It goes on like a balm and absorbs in about ninety seconds. Warm a small amount between your hands first and apply a fine layer for the fastest dry-down. For an overnight treatment, apply thicker and let it work while you sleep.

A 60 g tin lasts most people months. A little warms and spreads a long way, and there is no water bulking it out.

Fifteen botanicals. No water, no petroleum, no preservatives, no synthetic fragrance. The lipid base is shea butter, jojoba, squalane and a fast-absorbing carrier. Layered into that are calendula and plantain leaf, marshmallow root for mucosal comfort, manuka and monolaurin for antimicrobial pressure, helichrysum and bisabolol to calm, vitamin E as an antioxidant, and bakuchiol at 0.5%, within the clinically studied range. Because there is no water phase, there is nothing to spoil and no preservative system needed.
