WHERE IT GOES

Made for skinunder pressure™

FOR
Sensitive-skinned. Skincare-obsessed. Skincare deniers. And whoever keeps stealing yours.
Barrier short on lipids, water escaping
SHORT ON LIPIDS
Barrier topped up, moisture held
TOPPED UP
WHY IT WORKS

Your barrier decides whether moisture stays put.

Short on lipids, water escapes. Tightness creeps back by lunch. The cream that used to work suddenly stings. Very rude. Also very common.

The Everywhere Balm replenishes the lipids your barrier relies on. Moisture stays put. Skin stays softer, more comfortable, less easily irritated.

Not a moisturiser. Not another active. A lipid top-up.

THE FEEL

Silk. Soft-matte. Never shiny or slick.

  • Melts in on contact. Gone in around 90 seconds.
  • Absorbs into the outer skin layer instead of sitting on top until it rubs off.
  • Softness that holds, even after you wash your hands.
  • Leaves nothing behind on your phone screen. No white cast on any skin tone.
IN THE TIN

Fifteen ingredients. Each with a job.

No water, no petroleum, no added fragrance. Nothing in the tin is filler.
  • Gets in. MCT and squalane move fast through the outer layer, pulling the rest with them.
  • Holds. Jojoba mirrors your skin's own lipids. Shea restores flex. Beeswax slows water loss without sealing like petroleum.
  • Quiets. Bisabolol, calendula and marshmallow root take the edge off reactive skin.
The Everywhere Balm — recyclable aluminium tin RECYCLABLE ALUMINIUM
  • Renews. Bakuchiol at 0.5%, the concentration used in clinical studies as a gentler retinol alternative.
  • Nothing to react to. No water, so no preservative system. No alcohol, no emulsifiers. Manuka at a micro-dose, under the scent threshold.
  • Melts at body temperature. Solid in the tin, oil in three seconds, soft-matte in ninety.
WHY SHE'S SUPERIOR

Petroleum jelly isn't bad. It's basic. It seals what's already there and replenishes nothing. Fine if your barrier is fine.

Reviews that make us cry. And sometimes laugh.

★★★★★

"I think this balm is going to change my life. 4 years and no creams or ointments have done anything even with multiple scripts and dermatologist appointments. 5 days into using this balm and my hands have actually began to clear up."

FLYNN E. ✓ VERIFIED

"I was beginning to despair of things ever settling down. It's been 10 days of using Nooks, and 10 days without any kind of weeping or bleeding sore on my face. The longest I have been blemish-free for literally years."

REBECCA H. ✓ VERIFIED

"Literally saved my skin. 2 years of no barrier, tried EVERYthing. Doctors, derms, regular facials. My skin hatedddd me, reacted to everything, even the most basic of moisturisers. I've purchased 2 more within a week."

"It's seen me through postpartum skin changes, contact dermatitis, nappy rash (not mine) and most recently helped ease my horrific itchy-burny face after daycare gave us all hand foot & mouth. It's also folded the laundry, sorted all our books by genre, and last night I caught it solving the long abandoned Rubik's cube."

"As a 65 year old who is generally disillusioned with mainstream skin care and constantly looking for something natural that stays the course, Nooks is the best thing I have found. My skin is less dry, red and inflamed than it has been in ages."

"This balm is the best skincare purchase I've ever made. It feels like I have tried everything from basic moisturisers to azelaic acid to $250 clinic-only serums that all promise to reduce redness but nothing seemed to work. After only a few days my skin was noticeably calmer and less red."

YOUR CASE

Your skin, specifically.

Built to an intimate-skin spec first: no added fragrance, no essential oils beyond a micro-dose of manuka, nothing that tingles. If it behaves there, a face is easy.

"My skin is so sensitive and I react to a lot of stuff. I was nervous about using a balm texture on my face but it's worked beautifully."

— SOPHIE S.
If creams last an hour, you're adding water to skin that can't hold it. Add the lipids that hold it instead.

"My skin is super dry and I struggle to find a hydrating product that's not full of nasties and makes me itch. My lips are noticeably hydrated for so much longer."

— IMAAN
Every wash strips lipids. Forty washes a shift strips the lot. Press a little in after the last wash; it holds through the next few.

"As a barista my hands get super dry so I have been reaching for this every day. Absorbs quickly and doesn't leave that greasy feeling."

— THEA
Freshly shaved skin, beard skin, calluses. No scent, no shine, nothing to explain.

"I finish every gym session applying it to my grip calluses, and after just a week the hardened skin started to soften noticeably."

— JYE
Your actives do the work. A topped-up lipid layer decides how fast they get in, so they get in slower and sting less. Last step at night, over everything.

"For locking in moisture after using tret at night. Under makeup, no issues because it dries down and soaks in rather than being slippery."

— MAIAH S.
Suitable from age two. No added fragrance, so nobody objects. One tin on the bench, everyone's hands.

"It lasts for hours on my lips and it's gentle enough for children's skin too."

— VANESSA P.

Dani, founder of Nooks Balm
FROM THE FOUNDER

Built for the most sensitive skin first.

I'm Dani. Founder, and patient zero. Nothing on the shelf was allowed near the most sensitive skin on the body, so I built something that was. Fourteen testers and three formulas later, it turned out a balm that behaves there behaves everywhere. Formulated in Melbourne. Self-funded. Fifteen ingredients I'd put anywhere.

FAQ

Questions we get asked. Answered properly.

Will it feel greasy? −
No. It absorbs in around 90 seconds and dries soft-matte. If it feels greasy, you used too much. A pea covers both hands.
Can I use it on my face? +
Yes. Thin layer, last step at night or under makeup. If your skin is oily and already holds moisture well, it may sit on top. Use it on lips and hands instead.
What's different from Vaseline? +
Vaseline is one ingredient that seals. This is fifteen that replenish, then hold. Vaseline stays on your phone screen. This doesn't.
Can I use it with retinol or acids? +
Yes, after them. A topped-up lipid layer slows how fast actives get in, so they sting less. It contains no acids and no retinoids of its own.
Is it safe for lips, nipples and intimate skin? +
Yes. Every ingredient was chosen for intimate skin first: no added fragrance, no essential oils beyond a micro-dose of manuka, nothing that tingles. External use.
Pregnant or breastfeeding? +
No retinoids, no essential oils beyond a micro-dose of manuka, nothing you need to wipe off. Check with your GP or midwife, as with anything you use while pregnant.
Kids? +
Suitable from age two. Under two, ask your paediatrician.
Is it vegan? +
No. It contains edible-grade beeswax, which is what holds moisture in without petroleum. Everything else is plant-derived.
Does it smell? +
No added fragrance. A faint shea note that's gone as it sinks in.
Why no petroleum? +
Petroleum seals. It replenishes nothing. If your barrier is short on lipids, sealing traps the problem. We'd rather add the lipids.
What's bakuchiol doing in there? +
At 0.5%, the concentration used in clinical studies as a gentler alternative to retinol for skin renewal. No retinoid irritation, so it's fine on reactive skin and alongside your own actives.
Where is it made? +
Formulated and tested in Melbourne. Manufactured to our spec by a specialist balm maker in China. We move production onshore when an Australian manufacturer can match the spec, not before.
Will it melt in my bag or go hard in winter? +
Stable to 35°C. It softens in a hot car and firms in a cold one, and works either way.
Does it replace my moisturiser or SPF? +
Not SPF. Moisturiser: often. If your cream lasts an hour, this replaces it. If your skin holds water fine, keep the cream and use this where it doesn't.
How long does a tin last? +
Used daily on lips, hands and face, three months or more. A week of decent use barely dents it.

Retire the rest of your shelf responsibly.

One very useful thing. Goes everywhere. Yes, even there.
